Compare 2022 Honda Pilot vs 2022 Toyota Sequoia
2022 Honda Pilot vs 2022 Toyota Sequoia Overview
When is a mid-size model more spacious and comfortable than a full-size? When it's the 2022 Honda Pilot vs 2022 Toyota Sequoia. Honda's ability to knock Toyota down a peg or two is well-known, especially when they craft a larger mid-size model to compete with the Sequoia. Both models are highly upscale but affordable to most buyers. Our Hughes Honda comparison review is here serving Warner Robins Macon Milledgeville Atlanta buyers with a few good reasons to pass up the Sequoia this year. Each one of those reasons is attached to the elegant 2022 Honda Pilot.

Value - Honda Dealer serving Warner Robins GA
When Honda's engineers and efficient budgeters get together to craft a Pilot, they know how to give you just as much as a Sequoia without charging you nearly so much. The Sequoia is a full-size model, so it makes sense that it grabs a bit more horsepower than the Pilot. What you don't see, though, is a superior transmission. The 2022 Pilot grabs a 9-speed automatic transmission, and that's way better than the outdated 6-speed automatic transmission that's standard on the Sequoia. You'll also see the Pilot gets Shift-By-Wire technology and paddle shifters for its transmission, something that's missing on Toyota's model. Sometimes you don't want more power; you just want quicker, more efficient and exciting power. The Pilot offers the better value here between the two. It's not just mechanical features that are the better value on the Pilot, though.

Value comes into play on the Honda Pilot and Sequoia match-up, too. Both of these models get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is very surprising given the expensiveness of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia. If you want just as much connectivity and entertainment, the Pilot is a much better choice. The model also gets an advanced 10.2-inch rear seat entertainment system with High-Resolution screen and a Blu-Ray 28 player. There's also built-in streaming apps. This is a shocking gift from Honda when you consider the price they ask for the Pilot. If you want to entertain the kids - and yourself - during every journey, the Pilot is confident at doing just that. Its rear seat entertainment system is actually bigger than that offered by the Sequoia.

Safety - 2022 Honda Pilot dealer
This is one of the most closely related driver-assist comparisons we've ever done, but it's still very safe to side with Honda here. The Honda Sensing system never lets its families down. You get standard Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Forward Collision Warning, and so much more. While Toyota tends to make you pay extra for features like this, the Pilot comes with all these features standard through their award-winning Honda Sensing system. Their goal is to always give you an intuitive driver-assist platform that operates on its very own. You don't have to give feedback to almost any of these features. Just do your thing, and if things go wrong, then Honda Sensing can mitigate and get you back on the right and safest path. Your lane is always safe when you're in a 2022 Honda Pilot.

Winner: Honda Pilot
The Honda Pilot has always been a wonderful family vehicle, but this year it's surpassing even the Sequoia. The Sequoia's price really hurts much of its offerings, as there are so many other vehicles (including the Pilot) that do just as much for less. Honda Sensing has you covered on safety, you get standard push-button start on every trim of the Pilot, and it also comes with standards tri-zone automatic climate control. The Pilot gets Ambient LED lighting on the interior, with refined touches like a leather-wrapped steering wheel. That wheel is even heated on later models. There's just so much that the Pilot does better than the Sequoia, and it does all these things for less.
